Arma - protect what is sacred to you ☙

This piece comes from a place of vulnerability. Armadillos use their thick and scaled skin to shield themselves from potential danger. They are defending themselves by fencing off all the peril of being wounded.

Instead of hiding and taking on a passive attitude, this armadillo is willing to face the adversities coming its way. It's holding a weapon embellished with a sacred heart - a symbol of devotion and unconditional love. Emotions can hurt as well as heal. Willingness to open yourself to both sides and experience the whole spectrum allows reaching out of one's status quo in search of true happiness.

The process of creating this piece was challenging and humbling. The first version of the file was corrupted, resulting in losing all of the progress. Recreating all of the lost efforts was a heartbreaking experience. All the emotions and excitement that were initially put into creating this work were gone, but the challenge was a good opportunity to review and give more thought into the piece.
